Every Golden Retriever at Vermont Golden Meadows is raised as part of our family. They hike Vermont's forests and mountains, they ride in the car, spend time with our family, and sleep next to our bed. We believe that's what makes the difference — and it shows in every puppy we raise. While many of the families who find us are from Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and throughout New England, we proudly welcome inquiries from across the United States.
The Boys
Frosty Creek
The smile behind the name. Some dogs have a way of making every day feel a little brighter — Frosty is one of those dogs. At 87 pounds, he's as powerful as he is gentle, carrying himself with quiet confidence, an easy-going spirit, and the kind of smile that has become part of who he is. Whether he's racing after a ball, swimming in the lake, or leaning in for affection, Frosty approaches life with genuine happiness. Raised in our Vermont home from the very beginning, he has been socialized with children, other animals, and the full rhythm of family life — and it shows in everything he does. Despite his impressive size, Frosty still believes he's a lap dog whenever affection is involved. His playful personality, calm temperament, and unwavering loyalty make him a joy to live with every single day.
The Girls
Rosé Bear
The quiet heart. If you visit Vermont Golden Meadows, chances are you'll find Rosé proudly carrying her favorite fish toy in her mouth, or happily showing off a stick she's convinced is the greatest treasure she's ever discovered. She has the cutest little wiggle when she walks by with one of her prized retrieves, as if she can't wait to share her accomplishments with everyone around her. Rosé has been raised in our Vermont home alongside children and family from the very beginning — that early socialization is written into everything about her. To us, Rosé is more than a beautiful golden retriever. She is kindness, gentleness, and unconditional love. And at the end of the day, Rosé tends to be a daddy's girl.
Fancy Maple Mae
As sweet as her name. As the youngest member of the Vermont Golden Meadows family, Maple is exactly what a puppy should be — curious, playful, and full of joy. Every day is a new adventure, whether she's exploring Vermont's woods, discovering a new favorite toy, or simply soaking up all the love she can. She has grown up surrounded by family, children, and the early socialization that shapes a truly confident, well-adjusted golden retriever. When Maple turns two years old, she will be fully OFA health-tested and become part of our AKC breeding program.
Health testing is non-negotiable.
Every Golden Retriever at Vermont Golden Meadows completes the recommended health testing before becoming part of our breeding program. We proudly follow the standards of the AKC and the Golden Retriever Club of America because responsible breeding begins with healthy parents. This commitment helps us produce healthy, well-structured, and well-tempered golden retrievers, giving every puppy the strongest possible start in life.
OFA Hip Evaluation
Radiographs evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals to screen for hip dysplasia — a foundational clearance for any responsible golden retriever breeder.
OFA Cardiac Exam
Cardiac evaluation to screen for subvalvular aortic stenosis, a hereditary condition in golden retrievers.
OFA Elbow Evaluation
Radiographic evaluation for elbow dysplasia — a key health clearance for responsible golden retriever breeding.
CAER Eye Exam
Eye examination by a board-certified ophthalmologist to screen for hereditary eye conditions in golden retrievers.
