Current Litter

Quality always comes before timing. Frosty will complete his final health clearances after his second birthday in late October, and Rosé will complete hers after turning two in December. Once both have received all recommended health clearances, we hope to plan our first breeding. If all goes well, we're hoping for golden retriever puppies born in the spring. We appreciate your patience and invite you to join our waitlist for updates. We believe these puppies will be worth the wait. Both Frosty and Rosé are from champion bloodlines with exceptional temperament.

Preparing Puppies For a Lifetime of Confidence

From the very beginning, every puppy is thoughtfully raised through purposeful early development, positive experiences, and loving daily care. Our goal is to help every puppy grow into one of Vermont's Happiest Retrievers.

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)

Gentle, age-appropriate ENS exercises during the critical early weeks to help support resilience, confidence, and adaptability.

Early Scent Introduction (ESI)

Carefully selected scents introduced during early development to encourage curiosity and healthy brain development.

Daily Positive Handling

Every puppy receives loving daily interactions to build trust, confidence, and positive human relationships from their very first days.

Positive Early Experiences

Gentle exposure to everyday household sounds, new surfaces, grooming, and age-appropriate experiences to build a confident, adaptable puppy.

Preparing for Family Life

Age-appropriate adventures, gentle grooming, nail trimming, and new experiences help prepare puppies for a smooth transition into their new homes.

Play, Explore & Grow

Safe play, exploration, and enrichment help develop confidence, social skills, and curiosity — the foundation of a happy, well-adjusted Golden.

Every experience is thoughtfully planned with one goal in mind — to help each puppy grow into one of Vermont's Happiest Retrievers.

How it works

Getting to Know Each Other

01

Reach out

Send us a message or give us a call. We love getting to know New England families before anything else — because the right fit matters as much to us as it does to you.

02

We'll be in touch

We follow up personally — usually with a phone call or a few emails back and forth. No automated responses, no form letters. Just a real conversation.

03

Hold your spot

Families we feel are a good fit are invited to hold a spot on our waitlist. Our Vermont golden retriever puppies are in high demand — we keep our litters small and intentional.

04

Puppy matching

We match each AKC registered golden retriever puppy to the family we feel is the best fit — temperament, energy, lifestyle. We've spent weeks watching each puppy develop, and that knowledge guides every match.

05

Go-home day

Your family-raised golden retriever puppy goes home with health records, AKC registration, a puppy pack, and our full support — for the entire life of your dog. That's our promise.

Memberships & Health Standards

Vermont Golden Meadows is a proud member of the Golden Retriever Club of America. Our breeding dogs are AKC registered, and we utilize Embark DNA genetic testing, PennHIP hip evaluations, and OFA health certifications as each dog becomes age eligible.
